Create an infographic that organizes data in a visually pleasing way.
PROCESS (Programs, Tools, Skills, FOCUS principles)
I began by brainstorming a topic. We had just had donuts at a work meeting and many of them had fun colored frosting on them. I was inspired by the fun colors and thought it would be fun to incorporate them in into an infographic. After I picked a topic and found some pictures online for inspiration and did some research about donuts. Then I came up with two potential designs.
I started out my infographic by creating the dripping frosting at the top of my page. Then I found images that I wanted to include to represent my weird donut flavors. I added the information I had found during my research. Then I saved it and uploaded a picture of it to Facebook for Critiques.
I received critiques on Facebook from Missy Jones, Jennifer Turner, and Shelby Burnworth. Jennifer felt that the large bullets I used in my timeline were distracting. Missy felt that I could make my title larger. They all liked my color palette. My instructor pointed out that my images needed to be graphics that I created, so I eliminated the photos and replaced them with my own graphics. She also gave me some suggestions about alignment. I received one-on-one critique from my friend Hannah she suggested I change my background color from white to blue.
